In the Studio with David Benoit

Back in October, I went into the studio with David Benoit to record his new record, Which is not yet titled. For true Benoit fans, it really has a little of everything... some "vintage" Benoit fusion, some groovy smooth tracks, some really beautiful, Bill Evans inspired trio jazz, and even a new venture into some "Chill" music. We tracked at Ocean Studios in Burbank where Clark Germin was once again getting some of the best drum sounds ever! The band was Benoit on piano, David Hughes on bass, and myself. There will be some guest appearances as well, I know of two for now... Jeff Kashiwa and Rick Braun. Be on the lookout for the record to be released in April of 2010. Here are a few shots from the session:
